Who We Are

Steve,
I appreciate that the messages you have posted to POS have been
informative and helpful, however, I have to ask you to either
switch to the FFOS group, or let Jan do the posting.
We don't allow step-parents on POS. They are welcome in FFOS,
though.
The reason: When we first started, we allowed step-parents in.
Then, we had some very difficult situations where parents and
step-parents got in arguments. Parents would make negative
comments about step-parents, because they had a bad relationship
with the step-parents of their children, and the step-parents
would get angry about it.
Or the step-parents would make comments about the parents that
would upset the parents (such as my step-son loved me more than
his mother, she was such a bitch), and the parents would get
furious.
We also had a mother and step-mother who hated each other both
wanting to be in the group at one time.
So fairly early on, I decided that for the well-being of the
group, step-parents would have to join FFOS, not POS. We simply
cannot risk opening the doors to step-parents and having more
in-house fights.
I know that in your case, it would not happen, however, if I allow
you to post, I have to allow other step-parents to post in POS.
I hope you understand that this is not a reflection on you, but
simply what I need to do to make sure that the group dynamics
remain as safe as possible.
Love and peace,
Karyl, mother of Arlyn
